The Vision

What?: A solemn assembly to gather the body of Christ to pray for our nation. Based on 2 Kings 2:19-22, God is calling His people to bring “the salt” which is the church of the Lord Jesus Christ to the city of Philadelphia where America was birthed and to ask God to heal the land.

When?: September 28-29, 2012

Where?: On Independence Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where the Declaration of Independence was signed, where the Constitution of the United States was ratified, where the Bill of Rights was established. These foundation stones of freedom originated from the seed planted by William Penn, a Christian, who founded Pennsylvania’s government on his Constitution called the Charter of Privileges. In 1751, in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of William Penn’s document, a foundry in England forged a bell. On this “Liberty Bell” is inscribed Leviticus 25:10, "Proclaim liberty throughout the land unto the inhabitants thereof."

Why?: Because prayer changes things. Because America is in a state of emergency evidenced by the symptoms of widespread moral depravity and economic meltdown. Education, government, and man’s wisdom cannot solve this problem. There is only one remedy that can truly “heal the Land.” God requires four things of His people in II Chronicles 7:14 before he would respond. 1) humility 2) prayer 3) seek the Lord & 4) repentance.
