Hispanic Evangelicals Establish Evangelistic Partnership for 21st Century Outreach
WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 /Hispanic Christian Newswire/ -- America's largest Hispanic Christian Organization, The National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), The Hispanic National Association of Evangelicals, announced today a strategic partnership with Mike Silva International for the purpose of launching a new evangelistic outreach focusing on the 47 million strong Hispanic American community.
"Mike Silva emerges as one of the leading Evangelists in the World. His ministerial trajectory includes success in sharing the Gospel with an estimated 4 million people in 30 countries. In addition to his evangelistic festivals, Mike speaks at numerous high-profile conferences, Ivy League and college campuses, and the largest men's events and music festivals in the nation. His commitment to our community stands second to none,” explained Dr. Angel Nunez, Senior Vice President and Great Commission Director for the Hispanic Association of Evangelicals.
The partnership will focus on reaching first, second and third generation Hispanics with the Gospel message of eternal life in Christ. Recent polls show the Hispanic American community as the fastest growing constituency in the American Christian family.
"As a result of this partnership, the Latino Church will be resourced with a vision-enhancing experience, in addition to specialized training in personal evangelism, as well as unprecedented catalytic experience for the missions-mindedness of the church "stated Dr. Jesse Miranda, Chief Executive Officer of NHCLC.
The three year agreement includes a National Evangelism Strategy, an annual National Hispanic Evangelism Day to be incorporated within the annual calendar of the 25,434 member churches and evangelistic outreaches in major Hispanic populated cities such as Fresno, San Antonio, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando and Washington D.C.
"Hispanic Evangelicals stand committed to reaching the lost for Christ. Our righteousness and Justice platform makes us unique. Once again, our vertical message of Salvation must stand front and center in order for us to subsequently address issues of Justice. Our community needs hope. Christ is the Hope of Glory, "declared Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, NHCLC President.
SHOCKING NEW STUDY ON POVERTY HELPS JUMP-START NATIONWIDE “RESCATE PROJECT” TARGETING HISPANIC YOUTH
Oregon-based evangelist joins with National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, OneHope, and hundreds of churches to launch nationwide back-to-school campaign.
“No doubt, this reality is having an effect on individuals, families, and most importantly, children, throughout the United States,” said Mike Silva, president of an Oregon-based evangelistic organization. “We must do our part to offer encouragement, hope, and support.”
In an effort to alleviate some of the strain, and focus on the hardest-hit population, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, Mike Silva International, and OneHope have joined forces this summer to offer tangible support to Hispanic families in need.
Their specific focus – known as the Rescate Project – will be directed toward back-to-school needs for thousands of at-risk Hispanic youth. Working in collaboration with hundreds of churches throughout the nation, individuals will have the opportunity to reach out to kids in their community and offer them a free backpack with resources and materials that will set them on the right path for the year ahead. Each backpack will be filled not only with necessary school supplies, but will also contain a children’s Gospel booklet provided by OneHope.
Sam Rodriquez Jr., President of the NHCLC said, “The Rescate Project will give every participating church the opportunity to impact their community with the hope of the Gospel of Christ in a relevant and effective way.”
