Pastor Danny earned his BA degree from Vanguard University, Costa Mesa, California. He also earned a Masters in Education at Chapman College, Orange, California and Masters of Divinity at Melodyland School of Theology, Anaheim, California. He was honored with an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree in 1983. For the past 33 years, he has Pastored Templo Calvario in Santa Ana, California. Under his guidance the church has grown to be the largest bi-lingual Hispanic congregation in the U.S.A. Templo Calvario has established 75 satellite churches in the United States and in Latin America. Pastor de León's sermons are heard daily on radio stations in Latin America, Europe and in the United States. Numerous articles have appeared in magazines and newspapers regarding Templo Calvario. The congregation has enjoyed the visit of world renown speakers such as Dr. Billy Graham, Brother Andrew, Pat Robertson, Carlos Anacondia, Juan Carlos Ortiz, Alberto Motessi, Luis Palau and others. Presently Pastor serves as General Presbyter of the Assemblies of God. President/Founder of Hispanic Association for Bilingual/Bicultural Ministries and Daniel de León Ministries. Board member: Promise Keepers and Mission America. He has spoken before the U.S. Senate and has been asked by the President of the United States to serve on several committees that help craft policy for the hurting and marginal people around the world. He is privileged to have been one of the speakers at " Stand in the Gap ", the largest gathering in the history of the United Sates held in Washington DC. He also hosted the 700 CLUB in Spanish (Club 700), which is seen throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia and Spain and in some parts of the United States. He speaks out of personal experiences and is a dynamic expositor of the Word. He is in great demand as a Conference speaker and Evangelist. . He has authored several manuals and books, one of which has made the Top Ten Sellers List in Spanish Christian literature - "Siete Pecados Capitales del Padres." Pastor de León and Ruth have three sons, Danny, Jr., Joey & Steve; daughters-in-law Kristine, Lori, Monique and nine grandchildren.
