Pastor Israel Bermúdez González along with his wife Pastor Zaida Bermudez-Santiago have over 30 years of experience in leadership. Israel started his ministry at a very young age. He was born in Adjuntas Puerto Rico and moved to San Sebastian del Pepino. Being son of pastors and having eleven siblings enabled the Bermudez family to take an active role in their community. Israel's parents founded seven churches. Everybody from the smallest to the oldest child had a role in the ministry. When he was 19 years old he started touring with a christian worship youth band called "Los Armónicos", he was a lead singer and a guitarist. They traveled all over the island of Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and some states of the United States preaching the gospel. Later he joined "Los Voceros de Pentecostes" and also traveled preaching the gospel. Never neglecting the local church, both Israel and Zaida became leaders of the Family Ministry and got involved in the Worship Ministry to the present day. At the same time they also started teaching on Sunday school and programming Sunday services. This sparked a love for the word of God like never before. So together they attended the Assemblies of God Carribean Evening School and did an associate degree in theology. Meanwhile, they both had secular jobs, Zaida worked as a pharmacist and Israel as an administrative sales manager of Snap-On Tools. By this time, Israel was the board treasurer of the church. Bringing his knowledge and expertise in management he oversaw a 2.5 million dollar church renovation. He was the treasurer for 10 years, until he took an active role in preaching on the Sunday services. His wife Zaida tooked the department of Education which oversees Sunday school for adults, children and youth, baptism classes and new beginners classes, to the present day. Currently they serve as the associate pastors of the Pentecostal Church of 65th Infantery in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Israel is finish a theological degree in Logos Christian University. Also, Israel serves as the Board Treasurer for the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference. This organization serves approximately 18 million evangelical born again Christians in issues that pertain to the family, immigration, economic mobility, education, political empowerment, and societal transformation. Israel, retiring after 25 years of work is now full-time in the ministry and is committed to teaching and preaching the timeless Gospel message both in a relevant and contemporary way. He is passionate about seeing people free from their past and living in their God given potential. Described as a man of joy, a man of wisdom, a man of stability and a man of fathering he has a prophetic voice of impartation for such a time as this. He is a spirit-led man, a man of biblical principles. Israel and Zaida have been married for 34 years and have two grown daughters, Rebeca and Liza Mariel. They both are teachers of the youth group and are passionate about empowering the young people of their church to serve God with a pure, spirit-led and selfless life.
