Daniel F.

Dr. Flores is a pastor, educator, and ordained Elder of The United Methodist Church. He is a graduate of: Southeastern University (BA - Bible); Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MA - Theology); Princeton Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity); and Drew University (Master of Philosophy; PhD in American Religion and Culture).
He holds a certificate in archival preservation from Rutgers University. Dr. Flores pastors La Trinidad United Methodist Church with his wife Rev. Thelma Herrera Flores, (Yale – MA), in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to his pastoral ministry, he was Director of Studies for the Charles Wesley Heritage Centre, Bristol, England.
The CWHC is located in the historic home of hymn writer Charles Wesley, the brother of John Wesley. As Director of Studies, he convened international conferences and provided advanced learning opportunities for visiting scholars and pilgrims. In 2003, Dr. Flores founded Sociedad Wesleyana (The Hispanic Wesleyan Society), an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of higher theological education in Spanish-speaking communities. He has taught historical theology at Perkins School of Theology, ethics at Perkins Youth School of Theology, and spirituality in Peru and The Bahamas.
He has written numerous articles for the United Methodist magazine El Interprete and contributed several articles to the Wesley Study Bible, Abingdon Press. He is a member of several national and international agencies including: The General Commission on Archives and History; the Council for Accountable Discipleship; the Poverty and Compassion Advisory Team of the National Association of Evangelicals; and the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.
